Keonjhar/Patna, 23/9: A 28-year-old man was arrested and sent to court by Patna police following an allegation that he sexually assaulted his 22-year-old pregnant sister-in-law at Balibandh village under Patna police limits.According to the complaint, the incident allegedly took place on September 20 when the woman was alone at home. The accused, identified as Lokanath Mahanta (28), allegedly entered the house on the pretext of asking for vegetables and sexually assaulted her.The woman reportedly protested and raised an alarm, following which the accused allegedly threatened her. At the time of the alleged incident, the woman was five months pregnant.Based on the complaint, Patna police registered a case under Case No. 325/2026. Sub-Inspector Laxman Kumar Majhi arrested the accused and produced him before the court on Wednesday.Police also conducted medical examinations of both the survivor and the accused before the accused was sent to court.
